"Petty" Island

I have a hard deciding what to think of President Chavez. On one side he is a "harsh dictator" who friends from Venezuela do not like. On the other he has some interesting ideas and support - not to mention international ties and foes.

Last week at the Summit of the Americas Obama was blasted by right wing media for his friendly handshake with Chavez. Newt Gingrich, the inglorious bastard that he is, stated he thought the move made the U.S. appear weak to other nations.

Now, in a swift move which is quieting critics, The Venezuelan government has formally donated an island near Philadelphia back to the United States. This comes in a move to improve ties between the two countries.
